Grill re-inauguration

Tonight we completed our grill re-inauguration trifecta. A little while ago, our grill had a "thermal event" (as Weber terms it). We went out to grill one evening and the grill was on fire. Now fire is usually good, but inside the grill, not outside! Apparently a burning element had jostled loose after a trip to the lake. Weber graciously mailed us all the replacement parts for free!!! It was really nice. Splurging on a Weber was definietly worth it. This weekend we completed all the repairs. It felt like we have a brand new grill! To celebrate, we had a weekend of grilling out of Nathan's favorite grill book, Steven Raichlen's How to Grill. (If you own a grill, you must also own this book --- it is amazing.) Here is what we had:

Lamb Kebabs with Mint Yogurt and Cilantro Chutney
(Saturday Night)

Grilled Quail Salad with Roasted Pears and Walnut Oil Vinaigrette
(Sunday Night)

Grilled Pineapple A La Mode
(Tonight)

Yum! Yum! Our grill is now ready for regular use, and just in time too --- the leaves are starting to drop and the air is just a little bit cooler. Grilling season is coming!
